Ms. Lee Avila

Ms. Lee Avila, a national small business advocate, will be sharing lessons- learned from 25 years of emerging business development within the federal sector. Her remarks will focus on the importance of building relationships, effective communication and networking.

Ms. Avila’s experience spans across three presidential administrations. She served 6 years as an appointee to the U.S. Small Business Administration and  the U.S. Department of Energy. In both instances she worked to promote equity in federal small business contracting and the development of the 8(a) and mentor protégé programs. Prior to her work in government Lee was an independent consultant working with various 8(a) firms and several community non- profit organizations.  Lee Avila knows what it takes to be a success in today’s federal marketplace and private sector.

Currently, Lee  is Project Manager for Chickasaw Advisory Services, an LLC of Chickasaw Nations Industries, (CNI). CNI, a tribally owned concerned, contracts with federal agencies across the country. CNI is a "Super" 8(a) and one of the largest corporations of its kind, in the United States. Headquartered in Norman, OK, CNI’s success is due to their high standards of ethics, talented staff and most assuredly, their strong business relationships with their clients and partners.

In addition, Emmy Vickers, creator of the country's only Entrepreneurs and Professionals Network Kit,  will teach you tips and secrets on how to Network strategically and help those around you. The goal is to provide an inviting, comfortable, educational atmosphere for Business Owners, Professionals, Sales Reps and Public Community Officials to "get to know each other," help each other, and pass referrals.
